People were very nice in the Paleo thread, so no need to be harsh to the others.

I take breaks from eating meat occasionally. I don't really eat a whole lot of meat anyway.

Just so you know. I have switched to a vegan diet for lent (I have some seafood a couple days a week though) and am bloating now, getting heart burn and have less strength and energy after only 2 weeks.

Maybe that contributes to their condescending nature. Hard to tell. Mine extends from other personal issues.

I can solve this with one large cup of Community Coffee Dark roast made in a french press, 2 scoops, natures broom and I'm up all day, 30 vegan days? I cannot do.

At first I was interested in hearing people's suggestions on vegan options, but the original post quickly turned into an unsolicited public service announcement. Hats off to the vegan lifestyle if that works for you, but I have to admit, vegans creep me out.
