WTF???? No wonder these a-holes keep robbing us blind, they get caught and get a measily sentence that isn't even 4 years? Public corruption is a crime against all tax paying citizens...and in my opinion no better than a guy who is running a ponzi scheme.

46 months with 280K of restitution does not offend my sense of justice.
He'll be pushing 70 when he gets out and considerably poorer with restitution and legal fees to pay. The 3 years this has dragged out has also been pretty good punishment for the rat bastard.

I'm really curious how long they put Nagin in for.......I sure as hell hope it's somewhere north of 10 years....but hell with the obama appointee coming in he'll probably get a slap on the wrist.

I think some of Jeffersons crimes occurred in northern VA, it wasn't moved to get a jury but just selected as the best forum for the prosecution from available choices.

The Federal jury pool is a lot different than the typical Orleans Parish jury pool. That is why EWE was convicted in Federal court & found not guilty, twice, in state court. And the Federal judiciary has lot stronger sentencing guidlines they have to follow; state district court judges not so much. AB is a scum bag who deserves life, and with him being, supposedly, sick, he will probably die in prison.
