I just can't justify droping 1200+ on a PC when its ever changing tech and would be out of date compared to the new specs you can get in less than a year. I work in comm with plenty if nerds and pc gamers. But one of guys was talking shite on us ps3/xbox guys talking about he just dropped 1500 on a pc that will be good for 3 years. One of our Sgt's goes so you are basically paying 500 bucks a year to game whie we drop 400 and thats it.

You can if you want but you don't have to. Also, sure you can find new stuff less than a year later you COULD upgrade to but it's not necessary. By your premise of a PC being out of date so fast in the tech world where do you think an 8 year old console stands? I am also saying the "boom" one of your Sgts put on the guy about spending $1500 on a PC = $500 per year just to game is stupid considering the vast other things you use a PC for.
