You know what you guys sound like. Ya'll sound like the other fan bases that claim LSU throws piss bombs and rapes their children with all the accusations of professors and everything else. Pretty comical actually.

I once went to a ULL game with my brother-in-law when LSU was playing away.
There were more people around me relishing the fact that LSU was losing their game than those who were glad that ULL was winning theirs.

You know what's comical? That ULL needs LSU on the schedule to pack the Teague

I don't think any other students would even notice or say anything, much less like her professor did.
And I think he's talking about the rent-a-win we pay each state school we rotate on our schedule.

Right. You could wear the shirt of any other Louisiana state school, any day on LSU's campus, and not get a second glance from ANYONE.
Some years ago, perhaps a Tulane shirt would have roused a comment out of someone, but I don't even think that's the case anymore.

I've only lived in Lafayette a year. Have ULL fans always hated LSU, or is it just since LSU started being good at football?

Long time, but its just gotten worse with our continued success and their recent success. All of them I talk to that hate LSU is because they think literally everyone thats an LSU fan is arrogant and thinks they're above ULL. What they forget is which is the flagship school and which has had more national success athletically, so some of that attitude is substantiated. It's not as bad among older ULL fans, but those 35ish and younger, they're hate for LSU is as strong as their love for ULL

Their hate for LSU is 523454 times stronger than their love for ULL. I've seriously never met anyone that truly loves and 100% supports that athletic department and I grew up in the middle of Lafayette.
LSU fans make them feel inferior and they can't stand that. It's the only reason they hate LSU. It sure isn't a rivalry.
