Christopher Hitchens

He originally was a bit pro Obama. (Maybe not so pro Obama as much as anti McCain) but If he were alive today, what do you think his views on the presidents current agenda would be?

re: Christopher Hitchens

I don't recall his being pro Obama. The son of WFB, Jr., Christopher Buckley, was pro Obama and quickly recanted halfway through the first term.

Probably not. Hitchens would be even more pro-Goump, given Ogump's love for warrantless spying and drone strikes. Hitch was very hawkish when it came to the war on terror.

re: Christopher Hitchens

Good question. I think he would be pretty anti-Obama by now. He was "hawkish" to an extent but he went bat shite over warrantless wiretapping and parts of the patriot act. When we start talking about extra-judicial assassinations, I think he would have done a firm about-face on Obama, but not in favor of a GOP guy.

His #1 goal was to support a war between religions, but given Obama's first term he would get the best of both worlds, so he probably would be very pro-Obama.

How would he do this in the empty blackness of nothing that exists after you die?

Who cares? His brother is a lot smarter and more entertaining.

re: Christopher Hitchens

I imagine his affinity for Obama would be measured against what the GOP was offering up as an alternative. Given the pathetic state of GOP leadership today, I'm thinking he'd be a strong Obama lean.

Where is Purgatory mentioned in the Bible?

It's right next to the word "pope" and the part where Jesus prayed to his mom.

And asking Jesus into your heart and saying a prayer and really meaning it getting you into heaven.

I'm a christian by the way, but some of the stuff that's taught in churches aren't even remotely found in the bible.

It is inferred in the Old Testament when Jews wearing amulets died in battle and were then prayed into heaven by their surviving comrades. Don't ask me to cite it chapter and verse because I'm not your priest. Find it yourself.
