Lies, lies, lies. I see you've bought the Cruz propaganda hook, libe and sinker. Cruz has the class and integrity of a carnival barker which is all right if you're a radio talk show host or one of the talking heads on FOX or MSNBC. The problem is that he's a member of the U.S. Senate, not a talk show host. Compare him to Al Franken who was your typical left wing hack when he was earning a living as a comedian and a radio talk show host, but has the common sense and decency to know that that sort of hackish behavior is inappropriate for a U.S. Senator.

Now I see why I didn't get it. You evidently define patriotism in a such way that precludes a person from criticizing his/her government, but IMO, exposing uncomfortable truths about our government is one of the highest forms of patriotism. Furthermore, anyone who whitewashes or covers up these uncomfortable truths is no patriot at all, because as the saying goes, "sunshine is the best disinfectant".
