Last game I seen him do this twice, neiter time was an assist.
I think it shows he is coming around as a passer. We all know this isn't his strength, but he has made a huge improvement. Stats back this up 100%

GV is a fantastic passer, and he does get a good deal of assists, and they are efficient (for efficient shots) enough to make him one of the tops in the NBA in terms of being `tied' to scoring.

General Greivis is a very good passer.
Has gotten better and better. I hope it continues, which it should given the talent that will be around him. The talent that is surely to come. and, the team chemistry we are all starting to see.
I just don't know if I would use the word fantastic.

...maybe not a "fantastic" passer, but passing is his strength

hope the coaches have him in the long term plans. He's a great passer and a great leader by all accounts. He's probably my favorite Hornet/Pelican

This was done at the start of January . . .
Of the 91 players averaging at least 30 minutes per game, 17 players (none of which are Lillard) have an AST%/TO% ratio exceeding 2. Only 10 players have a ratio higher than Greivis’ 2.228: George Hill (2.261), Jrue Holiday (2.353), Deron Williams (2.423), Kyle Lowry (2.437), Raymond Felton (2.628), Kemba Walker (2.746), LeBron “I’m not a point guard” James (2.966), Russell Westbrook (3.088), Tony Parker (3.313), and Chris Paul (3.383).
The facts haven't significantly changed with any of the players. His ratio is 47.2/19.5 = 2.421. He's in that 2-2.5 range. That's literally top 10 in terms of a time-normalized measure of passing skill.

Looking back on his senior year. He had to carry Maryland. I'd say a scorer learning to be a point guard.
General Greivis is doing work this year. Have to wait and see if it holds up in the aggregate.

I agree with you and Jester on keeping him around.
I thought for a while they might use him as a trade chip, but he's quickly becoming more valuable on and off the court than any return I've seen in some proposed trades.

ya, he's undoubtedly the leader of the team, and he keeps getting better and better.
...Gordon isn't taking that leadership role any time soon.
Can he be the PG on a championship team? I don't know. but i think the team should try to build around him, at least for as long as his contract is so great.
(i know the you don't need great PG argument....but we also don't have James, Wade, Kobe, Bynum, etc.)
