Uh, that's what we want. Pound people on the ground, pro style offense, but mix up the play calling to keep defenses on their toes.

Hope I'm wrong, about that. Please I hope I'm wrong. I don't want to go out to Cowboy Stadium vs TCU and be able to predict each play with accuracy like last year. Because if we can do that, Gary Patterson surely will.

What needs to be understood is that YES it will be the same offense. But we now have an NFL caliber OC running the show. Do you think his offenses were in the top half of the NFL for the past decade by being predictable?

LSU will run the ball. LSU will throw the ball. LSU will win. CC is not re making the wheel and did not do that at any program he was OC. He put personnel in place and formations that gave his guys the best match ups. Football is a game of match ups and his pro pedigree will take execution and efficiency to the next level. Great hire and if I were playing LSU this year this will keep me up at night.

Couldn't have said it better. The offense hasn't been too far off from being good but in many games something always seemed to go wrong (i.e., dropped passes for one, a crazy play call at the wrong time, etc.) which killed drives. Just execute better and the offense will look a lot better overall.
