He's a loudmouth whose defenses haven't been any good through his career as a d-coordinator. Hope that helps.

I'm skeptical as well, he had much better talent with the Dallas defense but he was working for Jerry Jones (don't know if that means anything).
In the end, it will be hard to top last year's performance of suckatude.

This may be true, but not having your starting NT along with losing your back-up DT, DB's getting hurt and not having your All-Pro MLB for the season doesn't help much. Not to mention an over-paid RCB and a rookie opposite him. Oh, and Danny McCray was a starter. That defense he worked with last season was worse (personnel wise) than ours.
To say the least, I'm optimistic.

I don't think our defensive talent is as bad as some think. The system we ran last year was outside of most of our players skill set. I don't think they're gonna automatically be awesome football players, but I do expect better play.

He has several years of being a defensive coordinator under his belt, and they don't look good.
