It's hard to tell from that pic, but that's a huge fricking lock. I'm not sure a Walmart bolt cutter will get thru that
this, might have to wait for Harbour Freight to open - cud buy you some crack in the parking lot while waiting.

Admin. Also, have you tried using a file (if you have one) to create a notch for the bolt cutters like others have suggested?

They barely fit around the lock at the very tip of the cutters, and as soon as I start to close them they slip right off.....won't even scratch the lock.
I understand. The lock is very smooth...if you can get it to bite, you have it licked...it's harder to do with smaller cutters but it's doable if it fits around it, even barely. The smoothness of the metal is one of the problems, hence the file suggestion.

I'm not going to lie..I've been pissed off and beat the shite out of things (starters) with a hammer and it worked. I don't recommend it, just saying.

When I was a kid my dad had a printer in his office that would often stop working. When it did he'd pick it up and slam it down on the desk and it would start working again.

I don't know but you wouldn't be the first. You don't have to worry about being banned for calling me out. Besides it not being a bannable offense, I don't take those things serious.

I can relate to that too. I had a fax machine back in the day that needed similar encouragement. Do fax machines even exist anymore? I'm showing my age.

Yes.. I do IT work and they are actually still very prominent... due to needing a signed signature for documents and offices not having a digital signature pad.... National Signing Day is a good example of how prominent a role fax machines still play.

What's in the trailer? It's like pulp fiction. I didn't read the thread, just skipped to the end.

It can be done with two pair of channel locks torqued in opposite directions.
