you have the key??
Get a hammer and hit the lock to on the left hand side towards to right, it should roll slightly and be perpendicular to the position its in now and you can get the key in.
But an angle grinder if in doubt. That looks like a big lock, possible to big for small bolt cutters.

I have a bag of shitty tools that I haven't packed up yet. Just went out there and tried to rotate the lock up with a hammer and it ain't budging. I'm just gonna head up to the fire station in a couple hours. They can help and will get a good laugh out of it.

You have and edu email address.
The cutters you have will work but you have to put a lot of pressure on the lock so it will bite, otherwise it will just slip. The other option would be a drill and grinder, which I'm assuming that you don't have. I stand corrected on you trolling...I would help you out if I was near you.

You just gave me a good idea. Cut a groove in the lock with a file, then use the cutters. The cutters shouldn't slip with the groove cut in to it.

In the off chance you are serious, you should try getting a hammer and using that to rotate the lock to where the key fits. I don't see why it wouldn't rotate.

How can you see my email address?? I don't care if you can, but when I click on my profile it does not show.
And I tried everything with the bolt cutters. They barely fit around the lock at the very tip of the cutters, and as soon as I start to close them they slip right off.....won't even scratch the lock.
Thanks for the help though y'all....and the jort jokes. About to pass out and head up to the fire dept in a couple hours....no reason why they wouldn't help me.
Eta: cholo, read above....I've obviously tried that. And why would someone "troll" over something so dumb? Come on y'all .....
