read about this in the WSJ this morning. it was only big enough to take out an area the size of the SF Bay area .. but still that would frick some people Facebook surfing time up for sure.

I was surprised at how close it's going to get to the earth.

Only 17,000 miles out which is much closer than the Moon and within satellite orbit range.
