Well Houma is growing at a ridiculous rate, despite the outrageous prices for property. But yeah its a wonder why they don't build it in NOLA, especially bc how successful Jazz Land was.

A park can only be successful in Louisiana if you keep the undesirables out. They took over Jazzland and the people with the money wouldn't go.

I agree with this, but that really applies for everywhere. I don't see that as a reason not to build in houma or anyway else for that matters. Just depends on how its run and marketed. It could work as blue bayou is successful, which would have a lot of the same similarities as far as location.

I'm not one to crush a man's dreams, especially considering the story of WDW and Walt Disney's perseverance in the face of criticism. However, those plans are entirely too small to be even remotely competitive, and look like generic state fair type attractions. Kissimmee/St Cloud was just a blip prior to the boost given by Disney purchasing up a ton of swamp land. This scenario though is just too limited in vision and scope. I wish him the best, but I'm not sure a Nutria Rat could compete with the Mouse House.

One of the main reasons, among many many others, that he will never get this thing going is because of Jazzland. Any investor he asks will say,"Didn't we already have a theme park in Louisiana? What happened to that? OH YEAH, no thanks."

Is there any way I can short-invest in this where I invest all money that it will fail?

True Jordan. If New Orleans can't manage to keep a theme park afloat, investors will never give money to something like this.

No the people with money never went because they thought they were driving to the Hood because it was in the East when in fact it was next a country club, some Vietnamese, and nothing else.

What an absolute ignorant statement....... 1. Houma isn't close to having the infrastructure needed for this thing to take off. I'm sure if you have herds of people coming Hwy 90 would be able to handle all of the traffic. 2. There's a helluva lot more people within an hours drive of Jazzland than this place in Houma. 3. Who in the hell is going to come from out of state to this place? How in the hell could someone who was obviously successful at some point come up with such as assinine idea?
