I have never been a big fan of flo rida. When we were in Miami he put on a free concert on the beach. We were there anyway so we stuck around. It was actually pretty fun to be there, and he has more popular songs than I knew about. Has anyone had the same effect on you?

Billy Joel. He was just an incredible performer live, and he really threw himself into it.

Steven stills- not because I hate his music but because he was old and I thought he would suck live. When in fact it was one of best shows I have seen.

Marcy playground, in 2010 at the roux house. Really great show and the band was cool as shite.

The first time I saw Chevelle live, I was impressed and became a fan at that moment.

I was never a big 10,000 Maniacs fan but I went and saw Natalie Merchant when she started going solo and was blown away... bought a couple of her CDs the next day. Two of her best songs to hear live are off of the Ophelia album... "Ophelia" (spellbinding) and "My Skin" (can't find a live version). ETA: I think she's actually concert touring again (she was just doing spoken word for a while).

David Lee Roth's Band with Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan and Gregg Bissonette after he left Van Halen. I previously thought DLR was just a showboating attention whore riding on the wings of Eddie Van Halen. However seeing DLR and his new band blew me away. My respect for Vai, Sheehan and DLR grew immensely both as musicians and entertainers.

Justin Townes Earle. I had lots of his music, but never quite appreciated it, until I saw him live and realized how he goes about his work.

I have never seen anyone live that I didn't already like But Sleigh Bells really turned me into their music in concert. Fun band to watch

I guess I should be ashamed but I never really listened or had even heard a song from Anders Osborne until October of 2012. I saw him live in Natchez Ms at the balloon races, dude blew my mind he was unbelievable. He put on a hell of a show the NMA played after and they didn't even compare to the show he put on and I've been a NMA fan for years.

saw the Killers in Vegas, what a terrible performance and since then have lost respect. Was in Huntsville for work, and decided to go see Montgomery Gentry, and Little Big Town who I thought was ok, was by far and away the worst band I have seen live. I was kind of leave him or take him with Tim McGraw but he blew me away with his shows last year opening for Kenny Chesney. Much bigger fan now. Also, I liked the Who, but when I saw Daltrey and Townshend together, I could not get enough of their live music.

Bad Company and Ted Nugent in 1995. I knew Stranglehold. But I had no idea how many great Bad Company songs there were. Although I think the only original member may have been the drummer. He essentially mc'd the concert. Saw Bush live at the Starwood in Nashville. they weren't very good. His voice cracked a lot and you could barely hear the music.

Saw them at what used to be Mudbug's. Probably around the same time.Enjoyed the whole show but, i actually expected to. So, guess it didn't "change my mind".

When I first started my last job, the bosses offered me free suite tickets to Coldplay. Never really cared for them before and wouldn't really call myself a fan still, but I can honestly say I enjoyed the hell out of their concert.
