Beasley has been solid the last few years in Mexico and I'm disappointed he hasn't gotten more time with the Nats lately.

Oh, and Marc Pelosi was added to Liverpool's Europa League roster.

An up and comming US winger, our most dire need, traveling with a top flight club to a Europa league match. I may shed a tear, if he plays.

Pelosi is an (attacking) center mid who sometime plays on the left. I don't believe that he's particularly fast or a natural winger. If your looking for up and coming wingers keep an eye on Josh Gatt (who also plays in the Europa league) and Joe Gyau.

I've watched Pelosi play for the U17 team twice, both times at LM. Transfermarkt.co.uk lists him as a left winger as well.

Dempsey played on the left for 4 years at Fulham, would you consider him to be a winger? The word winger implies that he's going to take on defenders, get the the touchline and send in crosses.

I'd consider Dempsey a utility player, he doesn't really have a true position. If you're saying that's what Pelosi is then I'm admittedly pretty dissapointed. Though Dempsey did play almost exclusively as a RW during his days in New England. This is Pelosi's profile on liverpoolfc.com
quote:
Marc Pelosi arrived at the Academy from DeAnza Force Club in California. The USA starlet caught the eye of Liverpool's scouts during the 2011 FIFA U17 World Cup in Mexico where he skippered his country to a place in the last 16. A versatile, left-footed player, Pelosi is comfortable in central midfield, on the left wing and at left-back. The second year scholar was born in Germany but has dual nationality and is highly regarded by staff in Kirkby.

Dempsey play as a defensive midfielder for the Revs too. I'm not saying he can't play on the wing, rather that his natural position is in the center of the field and although he can put a shift in on the wing, his best play tends to be when he drifts inside.

From a pool forum "not bad for a central midfielder who gets put at left back and on the left wing because he's left footed" This is the impression I have always gotten regarding Pelosi. Either way, we could definitely use more options on the wing so lets hope he develops into one for us.

@BrianSciaretta: Good reporting by @USAprospects to reveal that Fluminense and Brazil U17 NT winger Robert ‘Kennedy’ Nunes holds a USA passport Well that certainly would be interesting. Obviously I've never heard of this kid, but the words Brazilian, winger, and us passport are definitely sparking some interest. Go find your wingman Juergen

fantastic news. if he's playing on the Brasil U17 team now, I'm inclined to believe he's probably already ready to suit up with our full team, or at least he will be soon enough. hopefully, he's not quite good enough to play for the Selecao.

i'm not sure if his real name is Robert and he does indeed go by Kennedy or if that was just Sciaretta having some fun with the name and US connection.

I just found this twitter account, but it is referenced by legit journalist's so i'm trusting it as of now. this would be very very cool, I no doubt hate Subotic much more than Rossi, but as long as he doesn't convince Flores to play for some other national team then he's 'cool' for the next 5 minutes in my book. eta forgot this to post this one too

if I'm not mistaken Flores is already a part of their youth set up. Hopefully, Dortmund offers him a professional contract.

I'm under the impression he is in their youth setup, but not too many youth guys end up getting a call to the big boys

regardless, we know he's being coached at a higher youth level than any player to ever come through the US ranks.

so i recently found the twitter account @USAprospects and they seem to do a good job I would definitely give them a follow if you're into the twitter scene. Russell Canouse and Zach Pfeffer both started for hoffenheim's u19 squad in a 4-1 win, they are on a 7 match win streak in 2nd place one point out of first. pfeffer is playing outside mid, hopefully he can shore up our width problems one day. if hoffenheim can't avoid the drop this season, i hope both of them can feature in the second division next year. not sure how likely that would be. maybe they can start loggin some minutes with the reserve squad.
