is this just based off of what they did in high school? if so jeremy hill and hilliard need to be high up based on their stats. leonard will be number 1,
Sort of a combination of prep and post-prep. Somebody like Germaine Williams, who finished his prep career the all-time leading rusher in Louisiana football history (and nationally? I forget) belongs on the list despite not doing much in college or beyond. By the same token, Faulk belongs on the list although he was on some awful teams on HS and was nobody's all-Amercian in HS.

quote]Johnny Hector should definitely be higher.[/quote] By the time I thought of him I was about at the point where I was going to quit trying to rank them and instead sort of shifted to trying to get everybody on there that belongs in the conversation. I'll move him up as we get all the names in.

Jason Miller??? Above anybody is ridiculous.
By the time I got to Jason, I was just listing people who had great accomplishments. Like I said, after the first 10-15 I quit trying to rank them (I'll come back to that later). He was a Mr. Football. That alone should get him on the list. But yeah, didn't do much beyond that. Played fullback in I-AA. But he led teams to state titles in high school and won Mr. Football.

Any reason Labrandon Toefield was left off your list...he's one of the first names that comes to mind.
Just overlooked him. You're right, he belongs in the conversation...it's why I'm soliciting candidates to add to the list before we came back to ranking them all. I was afraid if I just tried to rank a top 10-15, I'd leave out obvious people. It's why I started just making a list and we can come back to ranking them...

According to the LA HS Records, the leading rushers are K. Hillard, G. Williams, C. Collins and A. Thomas. The only other person I could think of that wasn't on the list is Dominique Davis.

You have Jerry Stovall far to high, he was on some bad teams at West Monroe and also was hurt his last year if I remember correct. He was the last player taken by LSU much like many players that turned out to be studs. Billy Cannon is to low even at number 2, he was all world at Istrouma, and even in jr high everyone knew he was going to be a stud. Faster than many think today. Kevin is a little to high, Collins to low.

Collins is the best HS RB I've ever seen in person. Joe Delaney should be in the top 5.

A-train had a sick sick senior year. Also had 106 career TDs.

A Train and Banks were seniors the same year. Wish I could've seen Thomas live except TV8.

"Rushed for 2,800 yards and 45 touchdowns his junior year after rushing for 1,800 yards and 32 scores as a sophomore ... Missed senior season with an injured knee." per lsusports.net I'd say 4600+ yards and 77 td's in just your sophomore and junior seasons puts you on the list.

On that long first post list? I agree. Not a top 5 list though. Look up what Mark Henderson did at West Ouachita. He deserves to be in the top 5.
