Workout crew: Looking to incorporate yoga into my routine.

Any advice on introductory routines or videos online. Any tips or pointers? I plan on doing some classes at my gym but I'd like to get familiar with some of the routines first. Also my schedule would make it difficult to attend classes consistently.

I've never tried yoga, but I lift (powerlifting based), run and swim.

I stretch during my lifting and swimming breaks, and I honestly don't think that yoga would add anything to my workout. But hey, I could be wrong.

I think the increased flexibility will help decrease risk of injury. Plus the stretching of tissue should promote muscle growth.

Bikram yoga is fun. If burning calories is your goal, you will definitely do it there. The p90x program is a good mix of power and flexibility poses. That first half will wear you out, but it's gets easier in the last 45 minutes.

Yoga is a great way to supplement any training regimen.

I always dismissed yoga in the past but everyone says it is a very intense and challenging workout.

I hated yoga the worst when I did P90X.

Finishing the P90x yoga is exhilarating. And an unexpectedly challenging hour and 32 minutes.

once you master it you can do it on your own in a quiet/warm environment without the video and it make sit go by a lot faster but you get the same results
