| Diarse >RSJ (Posted on 2/9/13 at 11:49 am)
Been watching film of the two. They look like similar athletes. Diarse is deceptively fast. I think Diarse is as good or better. Comments?

I'm a little biased but I agree with you. With that said, we may be in the minority. Diarse is a hell of a player and so is RSJ but I'll take JD overall any day.

Yeah I may be biased. I don't think there is much difference. Anyone know what kind of hands Diarse has?

RSJ has a higher ceiling just because of his size but Diarse did outplay him in the all-American game. RSJ was completely nonexistent and could not haul in some catchable balls.

RSJ has great upside I guess, but he looked below average at the AA game I simply wasn't impressed

Yeah overall Diarse is the better pick but i believe RSJ has the bigger upside. May need to revisit this in a year or two

I keep seeing his description as great hands but marginal speed.

I know with the Barbe kid well be strong at TE. I don't think our offense has used our tight ends well in along time. I think Diarse could be a matchup nightmare at TE. I bet he is a 4.7 laser timed guy.

Diarse is easily better. I'm not a big RSJ fan. Good athlete, I just don't think he is a very good receiver.

I'm biased with john but rsj just hasn't impressed me the few times I've seen him

I really feel like LSU got the right one. I just hope they find the right spot for JD. There's nothing he does that says freak but he just finds a way to make things happen when the ball is in his hands.

Moving Diarse to TE would be a career killer for him. No NFL team will want a TE who is only 6 feet tall. He fits the mold of Anquan Boldin at WR.

If Diarse is 6ft you are right! I thought he was taller. Yeah TE is a no go.

Probably his best asset.

You didn't notice the daily threads of how our offense will suck because we cannot recruit a tall WR?

I think Diarse has just as much upside because he still needs to learn a lot about WR. Played QB last 3 years almost exclusively and he STILL looked better than RSJ in San Antonio.

Yeah I just thought Diarse was going to be a safety and there wasn't much thought of him playing offense.

I was very high on RSJ until after the AA game. I was surprised that he did absolutely nothing.
