I stayed awake all night last night worrying about the ex-NFL OC that hasn't even coached a practice yet being negatively recruited against.

LSU doesn't negative recruit, which helps more than any negative recruiting could.

Florida negative recruited vs out academics.
Gilmore also said that throughout his entire recruiting process all the teams negative recruited against each other, or more specifically LSU. LSU was his leader basically throughout the entire process.
Except LSU, they never put down any other school. LSU's recruiting philosophy is pitching family and academics very hard. They don't recruit to put teams down, but more to build themselves up.
Les seems to believe you either love LSU or you don't, like being a tiger is in your heart and he would rather you chose LSU because you truly love them, than you believe you just disliked them the least (putting down other schools) which is why I think he takes losing recruits so much to heart. Gunner & RN.

That's good stuff right there. I think that is a good approach. Get players that want to be heat because they love this school and I think you will get the most out of them.
On anothern positive note it will do wonders in the long run because if these guys loved the school and loved their time here, in 20 or so years when their gene pool is pissed down, they will help sway their kids to us.

It happens all the time, this wont be any different and the coaches will continue to bring in quality athletes.

Absolutely. In his NSD press conference he took jabs at RN throughout, it's not as obvious as his gunner diss, but it's there. Last year if it wasn't for gunner, he probably would've destroyed LC
