'13 kid we got out of Alexandria.
Want to say he was all-state as a junior. Think he's 6'2 210ish. Tweener type guy--listed at safety. Pretty good film. Think he was top 40 in La.
Offers from Nebraska and State.

Thought Darian Claiborne was another guy y'all could have moved on. He's not Jones, and I know y'all signed like 5 LBs in '12, but I think the kid's legit.

Any other year, he most likely would have been a take. Like you mentioned, due to our 2012 LB class, we had to be very selective, and MLB was a bigger need than OLB.

I wondered why he wasn't on the back of the mind with cutter not qualifying and us not getting Willis. Maybe the coaches told him he was down the list and just made the.decision to be all aggie.
Claiborne would have been a take any other year, especially with la not always producing linebackers like they have for the past 2 cycles now. The coaches wanted beckwith and Jones, that's it. With miles saying Riley could get a look at safety, I see why he got the full ride, other than him also putting in the work, but from the get go it was Jones or no one at mlb and beckwith or no one at olb.

I work at the school Shaan attends, taught him when he was in the 9th grade. Good kid, good athlete, and will be a good addition for the Aggies.

I went to many of his games. Never wanted to comment much on his recruitment due to my own bias, but have to say I was puzzled by LSU's lack of interest. Solid player.

Also a really good basketball player. Had 27 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 blocks Tuesday against Leesville.

He's from my city. Seen him play football and basketball and he's a beast at both. Just an incredible athlete
