I have/will not read this whole thread but what Ron Paul tweeted was not inappropriate. I applaud that decorated soldier for trying to help another soldier with his issues, it is really admirable. The way he went about it put him in harms way. What if Ron Paul had tweeted "if you play with fire you are going to get burned", would that have been better? Ron Paul was direct and to the point, without political correctness.

This military defending our rights bull shite has got to stop. I'm not a 7th grader in social studies class. I can think for myself. As stated above, my rights are more at risk from people in DC...not some far off desert.

I think RP has done enough defending of liberty to say what he wants. Nothing wrong with admiring military folks, but I agree it goes too far occasionally.
