re: Drone strikes, legal, ethical and wise

Ok? And they do want us bombing them?

No, but if they pursued terrorists effectively on their own, or cooperated with us in doing so, the drones wouldn't be required. The drones in Pakistan are in part a consequence of the Pakistani's unwillingness to pursue the Taliban in their own country.

Wow.
You don't think we've done the same? You don't think we have agents around the world protecting our interests abroad?

But my question to you is, where were you in 2002 when the Patriot Act was being discussed in Congress? Why are you all of a sudden worried about it? Maybe because you just don't like the current White House occupant?

Also, why all of the sudden are people FINALLY getting upset over the use of drone strikes? These had been used sparingly at first in the previous admin, but when they saw what good results they were getting, the BUSH admin stepped up the drone strikes. Why is it suddenly unacceptable now? Again, just because a democrat is doing it?

You people seemingly have no principles beyond party politics.

I'll go ahead and throw in all the people crying about, "I should be secure in my house and person! I've got Rights!" as simple party-principals, as I'm sure they had no problem while a Republican administration (Reagan) declared a war n the 4th Amend via the renewed war on Drugs (begun by another Republican President - Nixon).

So I'm going to call you the same word that was thrown at me when I decried our loss of our 4th Amendment rights in the 80's and 2000's - "Liberal!"

What happened, has the Right gone Soft on Crime™ ?

I bet the majority of those who consider themselves 'Libertarian' on this board voted for Romney out of fear of diluting the Republican vote.

The irony?

I actually voted for Johnson.

Based on the "who are you voting for" thread from back then, nope.

I was in college and had little knowledge in what laws were being passed. I wasn't on a message board so my views were pretty well filtered.

Real conservatives strongly oppose this as well as many other policies such as The Patriot Act.

I would hope so. It's just that I don't see too many real conservatives any more these days.

Of course. Wiki is poking fun at the, at times very true, stereotype that some republicans are all about small government....until they're not.

ETA: wiki beat me

I keep seeing crap like this, yet somehow these Republican presidents responsible for serious erosion of our rights continue to be elected - and LAUDED by conservatives.

True conservatives wouldn't be ranking Jimmy Carter as the worst president, or Reagan as the best - or Nixon as 'not so bad'. All of which I've seen plenty on this board.

I would be awfully hard for the guy who is accused of running with Al Queda to defend himself after he is killed no?

If he's in some hut directing people to blow up Americans...take him out. No question about it for me.

Hey - I got no problem with that either.

What I find to be the major issue here is teh monumental hypocrisy of every damned DEM from the POTUS on down.

Take that same SOB 'in a hut directing people to blow up Americans.'

What if we capture the bastard?

What then? Is is allowable to ask him who he was 'directing to blow up Americans" or 'who gave you the orders to blow up Americans?"

Your DEMs say - ok ask away, but if he says "no comment" then you have to stop and give him a lawyer who will never allow him to answer the question.

Meanwhile, the people he was directing continue to 'blow up Americans' and the person giving him the orders find someone else to act in that position = and Americans continue to be killed.

Note that in killing that sob 'in a hut' not ONE American is saved. The killing goes on. Someone just replaces him.

HOWEVER, if we captured him, and poured some water on his head, we could PREVENT Americans from being blown up.

YOU would say - let the Americans be killed, we cannot pour water on the sob's head. BUT, it is OK to just kill the middle man.

BULL shite on your sanctimonious hypocrisy. You know damn well that if it were BUSH implementing this policy you would be apoplexic.

re: Drone strikes, legal, ethical and wise
Wake up America. We are dealing with an administration out of control. Already military aircraft are now being used to harrass American conservative activist {notice I didn't say republicans]. Trust me on this....I know what I'm talking about.

Once this administration imposes this insane policy on the use of drones overseas to kill Americans and meets with little or no opposition, expect them to expand the use of drones to eliminate opposition here in America.

Barack Hussein Obama is no friend of America, or the U. S. Constitution. If so why is he supplying the Morsi government in Egypt with F-16 Fighter Jets. Have you heard that Egypt is now conducting talks with Iran to forge a military intelligence alliance? Why was an islamic staff member [Mohamed Elibiary] in Homeland Security allowed access to confidential domestic intelligence? Why was Janet Napolitano unaware that a known Egyptian Islamic terrorst obatained a visa and met with White House and State Department officials? Did you see the exchange between the Texas Congressman {Rep. Louie Gohmert R-Texas } and Napolitano during the recent Congressional Oversight Hearing? Does it even matter to you?

I write the above at considerable risk to my person, knowing that administration operatives routinely surf this forum. But I don't care. Unless we patriots unite and defend ourselves against this radical tyrant we're doomed and our children and grandchildren will live a nighmare.

Exploiting the tragic events at Sandy Hook, the administration is moving to confiscate our weapons, and our ability to defend ourselves against tyranny. Don't believe a word when obama says we must control guns, if only it results in preventing the death of "only one". He's is lying. Think I'm exagerating? Would it help if I provided a list of the many lies of obama? Or maybe a couple of excerpts from his books?

Freedom is now free.....it IS purchased with the blood of patriots.

SECEDE NOW!!
