i ordered mine from invision, they are installed by toyota and lexus dealers, put them in my sequoia. easy install to do yourself.

How useful are these things? I never have a problem with my son in the back seat. Can't imagine needing to pacify him with a movie.

Road trips and we have a 17 month old that doesn't do the handheld LeapFrog pad yet.......

this is all you need. Replaces the entire headrest and is plug & play.

Kids these days are so spoiled. We went on plenty of road trips when I was a kid and my parents had to actually engage with me. We played games like I Spy or the license plate game, etc. They'd also play music I liked and we'd all sing along. Sometimes I'd also have to just stare out the window or take a nap. Some of my favorite memories are the road trips we took.
The worst I've seen are parents who can't take their kid 10 miles without having the kids have to watch a movie or show.

I don't know. My Mercedes came with them.
Just go buy a Mercedes. Seems like the easiest thing to do.

X5? The back of my 5 has a plastic feeling headrest that's too small to fit a screen in.
ETA: But that sports coat holder is a headrest system that holds an iPad or the like, just a different attachment.
