By iron ones i mean metal in general, but yeah as far as cost and quality go i dont see how you can beat the magpul ones.

Thanks for the link on the 300 blk. Pretty informative. Was thinking about goint this route on my current build, think that just solidified it.

I ordered 5 Gen 3 PMag's for $12.95 each Sunday night. They go quick, but they're out there for regular price. Stay away from Gunbroker and Craigslist.

I read something the week before John Noveske died that they were waiting on steel and it would be awhile before they had enough to fill a lot of their orders.

I've heard this too, but if true, why not just call it 5.56? I haven't been able to find specs to compare, which is surprising considering there's a few well known companies making them.
