| Girlfriend just got a txt about a rape in Nola UPDATED with Person of interest (Posted on 2/4/13 at 9:36 pm)
Her friend's neighbor was outside her house around 8th & chestnut. got kidnapped by 3 guys, raped, beaten, then thrown out on Louisiana. This happened about 3 hours ago.
This is only 2 blocks away from all the good Uptown bars (Bulldog, etc.).

I'm really just shocked it would occur there. Girls are ALWAYS walking home from the bars in that area. It's one thing to have poor crime in the ghetto, but not in spots you should feel safe.

I know some girls that live 2-3 blocks from there. I've stayed there before and I'll probably be there next weekend for Mardi Gras. It seems like a safe and well-off area, but I know that just across St. Charles it's pretty rough.
