My friend and I were SOOOOO trying not to stare at it in the rear view. We chucked it a couple miles down the road... Hearts were pounding enough and didn't need it anymore.

High school. I had a pretty fast car and my weekend hobby was evading the police. Once you get into the side streets, it's over. No way they can catch you if your car is adequate.

Junior high... probably 1983/84; my friend's older brother was having a party... I think it might have been the first time I was drunk. Someone started yelling that the cops showed up. Everyone was trying to hide their drinks/straighten up. I decided I needed to run for it. Ran out the back door and towards the woods. I looked over my shoulder and saw the cops talking to my friend's older brother then look up at me. They just stood there watching me... I imagine either shaking their head or laughing at my stupidity. I had to wait for what seemed like a long time before they left and at that point kept falling over in the bushes and laughing. At the end of the night, I remember my friend and his brother having to toss me in the back of their pickup to drive me home, which also seemed pretty funny to me. Then they had to prop me up, ring my doorbell and hand me off to my mom, who was not in nearly as good of a mood as I was.

Mississippi about 6 months ago. Got lasered on I-59 going ~85 pulling a trailer. As soon as it hit me, I put the pedal to the metal and hammered down. Next exit was 4 miles away and I GTFO the interstate and went through Bogalusa to get back to Covington. Saw him pull out, and truckers were hooting and hollering on the radio about it. Never saw him after that initial point
I earned the CB handle Hammertime by my driving prowess a couple of years ago, and have upheld the moniker ever since
That was all make believe
