I've tried some things. And someone said their uncle died of AIDS b/c of drugs? As long as you're not a crackhead sharing needles you really don't have to worry about that.

I also find this funny. Heroin was developed before you were alive and became a problem because the "good people" were trying to find a way to help out the civil war vets addicted to morphine.
The problems of your generation were there before you and they continued to fester, but the media didn't have a war on drugs to report on until the 70's. If I remember my history, your generation had a problem with amphetamines, and it was house wives, not those hippies of the 60's. They just brought it to the attention of the media.
but then again, it was your dad that was part of the greatest generation. Your colleagues were those 60's hippies.
Either way, drugs have ALWAYS been a problem. It's just that our generation is coming up with ways to treat the disease and not sweep it under the rug.
Now that I've lumped everybody of a certain age into one large group like you have, I'll step back and ask you how stupid it sounds to do so.
