True enough but cops have always been stupid in Williamson's scripts. They kind of have to be in order for a slasher film/TV series to work. It can be annoying, but in a genre such as this, it's much easier to suspend disbelief.

The two guys who had pretended to be gay seem the most normal. Jordy is borderline retarded. This dude who just stabbed the fat professor and set the book critic on fire seems like your run of the mill crazy fricker. The girl is the truly evil one.
