I live on the marsh and have a 140lb bullmastiff. One of my biggest fears with him is that he'll get loose and run up on a raccoon one of these days. ive always just assumed that 99% of dogs would get destroyed by a full grown coon
is that the common thinking on it? or are some breeds a better matchup
my dude is a mean son of a bitch when it comes to any other animal,btw. just not mean enough for a fat arse coon i dont think

I know a guy who owns a pit and we spent the night killing nutria, beaver, and coons, and his pit mauled the shite out of two coons and several nutria, but it was taking on a huge arse beaver where he got nipped on the chest.
