Appreciate the many intelligent responses. For many years LSU suffered because it couldn't find a great coach, then it couldn't keep one. Now that we have a great one that's willing to stay, let's learn appreciate what we have. There were many questions that I wanted to ask Les, but it was the sudden thought of losing him due to retirement, illness, or whatever that got me thinking, hey just appreciate the dude. Yes, Les drives most of us crazy at times, but so do our wives, our kids, our sister inlaws, our brother inlaws and our best friends. Most of us learn to deal with it.

[quote] A head coach that gets paid over 4 million a year should be able to make in game adjustments...or field an offense that executes consistently. He drives you and many crazy because you see things that make you wonder about his ability as a head coach. He is a good coach, but there is a list of many coaches that I would love to see here ahead of him. JMO... I wont shed any tears when he leaves. Now, if he suddenly hired somebody to run the offense and he got out of the way, thats a different story. Until then, he is nothing more than a average to above average coach.

I saw today where the #1 RB in US from Florida, 12,000+ yards, commits to Alabama so he can win another National Championship. I want a coach who gets kids to come here because they want to win National Championships. We have paid Les to become Bob Stoops. I love the guy too, but.........

Played poker at a table just a few feet away from Les Miles's poker table last night, Kathy sat right by his side. They stayed for just a while. I absolutely love Les Miles, so it was a blast sitting so close to the Coach and his wife, they were a joy. I noticed that Les couldn't help himself from staring at the HD screen several times when ESPN was interviewing NFL players about the Superbowl. Thought that was funny, this man really loves football and loves his wife, for they both had his attention. The saddest day for me is when Les Miles retires from LSU for I've grown to love everything about our LSU coach. Les is the best thing to ever happen to LSU for many reasons. People across America have become fans of college football due to his coaching style being so entertaining. But Les is much more than that, he consistently recruits the best players and consistently competes with and beats the best teams. Even the great Saban at Alabama hasn't had to deal with the tough scheduling that Les Miles continuously has to deal with every year. But you hear no complaining from Miles, he shows no fear. I love him for that and for being a great coach to his players, and a great family man. Les remains a solid decent and humble human being, which you seldom see from those making it big in their profession. As for losing the national title, get over it, it happens. The New England Patriots coach went undefeated but lost in the Superbowl. Fans still appreciate their great coach, LSU fans should definitely learn to appreciate ours. Hope we have you for a while coach, stay healthy, we love you.
Thanks for the post, wife Cathy. At least I hope you're Cathy.

Oh no! Alabama got the #1 RB---oh no, oh no, oh no. Lets all run and hide. We have a coach with balls and fans with no balls.

Read the entire sentence retard. I am talking about the close / questionable games that we are either dominating or winning - i.e. the Bama & the Clemson games this year. Don't take my staements out of context frickstick.

The sunshine pumpers with little to no memory are back in full effect. God help us all. It was nice to live in reality while they were in hiding.

You guys are so clueless. No team wins all their close games and no team wins all their games they were winning at one time. What Miles has done is to give LSU more wins in the last eight years than any other BCS school. If you can't see how special that is, you are the retard.

No thanks, I prefer to remain an LSU fan, (Alum and ex-player) but prefer the Saban process and his refusal to accept mediocrity at any level of the program. That's what produces 3 out of 4 and most likely 4 out of 5 after they beat Urban and Ohio State for the title in 2014. That's the difference. If Nick see a problem anywhere in the program, he fixes it. He doesn't stubbornly let it linger until it starts to negatively effect the franchise.

I'm sure you melted down right after LSU beat Troy 24-20 in Saban's last year.
