| When does the penalty/tax for Obamacare kick in? (Posted on 2/2/13 at 10:02 am)
When would one need to get insurance? If someone were to lose their job/medical insurance can they wait until the last week of the year to get insurance & avoid the tax?
Do you just have to have health insurance at some point in the year, when you file your taxes, 50% of the year, 75%?

There are some taxes that started already, but the full, "you better be insured, or else" starts next year.

Do you have to be insured all 365 days, 183 days? Or do you have to be insured by Dec. 31st? Is the tax pro rated based on the # of days you had insurance?

The penalty starts next in 2014 and more than doubles in 2015.
As it is right now if I had to buy insurance through the exchange it would cost me $396.17 a month.

Never, it's all free, all day, all the time..if you ever step foot in the country illegally, apply for a sex change, or were a casualty on the war on women..congrats!
