Here's the thing..... The only other city that has everything for a major sporting event is Atlanta. We all know Atlanta sucks. Nowhere else can you stay in one centralized location and get everything you can in New Orleans.

There are plenty of cities like Chicago, LA, Dallas, Atlanta that have great restaurants and more amenities than new Orleans does but they're all kind of similar to me...
the one great thing about nola and these things is that it really is built to host big events in teh super bowl the setup makes it probably the best "event" city in 'Murka

You can make a case for all of those cities except for San Antonio. I've been to San Antonio several times... how in the world do you think it's better than New Orleans?

san antonio has a ton of culture, history, great food, and shite to do with the increasing hispanic population in America, it's going to grow in respect as a foundational city with respect to that population

Exactly. New Orleans isn't the only city with culture, but its a different type of culture. I think its one of the more unique cities out of the ones listed in this thread

what the hell is wrong with san antonio? just because it's hispanic culture doesn't mean that it's not culture these threads always love to dismiss hispanic culture as a big deal to these cities. i'll never get it

Maybe just because you are more aware of those motifs. They defiantly play up beach angle in Miami use neon colors and art deco locales.

San Antonio isn't a bad city... I just don't see how you can put it up with the likes of NYC, Chicago, etc. New Orleans > San Antonio
