"U.S. Soldier bro, know who you're talking to." Trust me, this isn't how we expect our young Soldiers to be out representing the service. It is embarrassing. Like I said previously, this isn't to say the officer was correct either and should have been dealt with.

I'm part of that "we" myself, and I hear you. That said, embarrassing words should not result in a brutal response like this..... Freaking unreal.

No, the cop instigated it. The cop was obviously upset this "kid" was giving him shite for taking so long to get there, which IMO the kid was warranted in voicing his concern. The cop then for no reason gets aggressive with the Army guy and escalated the entire situation on his own. I am a cop and if you step up to me the way that cop did I would probably square off with you too. Thats a sign of aggression and the cop had no reason to be aggressive towards him. Cops forget too often that they are public servants, and not just some douche with a stick, gun and taser to chase down drug lords.

Of course on here as always, it's automatically the officers fault. popping off at the mouth and not backing down always results in two things. Tazing and hands on. Either or or both. If I was the officer, I would not have responded well to someone telling me I was wrong, when all I was there for was to take the report from the person that running off at the mouth

The Soldier was disrespectful from the get-go. I can assure you he would not have been so cocky if he were dealing with an NCO MP.

No, had the cop tried to deescalate the situation or at least gave some sort of effort to do so then it would be a different story, but its obvious the cop really couldn't care less about this guy's problem(s) of being assaulted and decided he wasn't going to take a liking to somebody voicing their concern about it taking 45 min to get there

IMO the kid was being belligerent, and by doing so I would presume that he was under the influence of some drug, as the normal reaction to someone calling for assistance isn't to start a fight with the police. I give police the benefit of the doubt to take out someone who is showing them aggression, because the police officer has weapons on him that can be turned on him and the general public if the perp were to get the jump on him. Police can't wait for the guy to throw the first punch before they act.

Which is why officers are trained in retention of those weapons/devices.

Not always, no, but you can't treat every damn person like they are a 2 time felon either, and get pissy b/c somebody called you out on being slow to get there. Cops should have apologized for being late, explain to the guy they were on another call, and had to finish there first, and show interest in the guy's problem. The dude was just assaulted by his roommates, and had his shite thrown all in front of his residence, and it took the cops almost an hour to get there, he's probably a little upset which is understandable.

I usually side with the cops, but this one is clear - that cop is drunk with power and authority and needs to be fired. I don't want my family's security in the hands of a-holes like that. (of course that's why I'm such a 2nd amendment advocate as well......)

no, not for smacking a dumb little punk. Vallejo is like Denham circa 1990...old Army town but the base closed down, hour away from San Francisco, house there for 150k would be 600k only 20 mins away....people hate Valejo that much that they will pay 400k more to live in the "poor" area of Marin County and not be around Vallejo type people. it topped out at 15.3% unemployment just last year or so..... shite place, shite people...tough job for cops.

I really don't see anything wrong with what the kid said or did. He may be a bitch but his response that he was a soldier was after the cop stepped up. Bitch as marine. Marines are the worse. 90% are fricked up from child hood and have small pe is syndrome and get no poon

You can't be serious. If you don't think that kid was disrespectful in his deportment, then you probably don't know what disrespect is. I hope it was a learning experience for him!

That's also another issue, we can't see what soldier boy was doing with his hands immediately prior to being handled.

It's pretty simple, don't pop off at the mouth and chip your teeth at the police and things will not end badly for you, like going to the concrete. When I have been speeding, I accepted the fact that I was speeding because i was actually speeding and knew i was. I didn't make stupid remarks like go catch real criminals or frick the police. I hear your face does not respond well to concrete. I don't whine or complain because I have to go through inspection sticker checkpoints and say stuff like go catch real criminals or must wanna meet a quota. concrete hurts. If no one checked for this, no one would get their car inspected. I very much support dwi checkpoints. The ones I have gone through we're no big deal. I don't drink so they did not say much to me at all. When the officer got to the window, I did not Say stupid comments because I thought it was my right of freedom of speech. Basically do not harass an officer and concrete will not get eaten but I do love seeing people get tazed so it's cool either way

When your speeding to you call the police for assistance. Terrible analogy. Kid was obviously upset/embarrassed from previous arse whooping. He had already been beaten up. Tow terrible responses. I did laugh when he cried with the reporter. Two bitches in that video.
