One of the comments on another site said the track and field coach got fired for something similar. Applewhite does it and gets promoted to OC.

this is pretty much what this is all about. The track coach filed an open info request into all coaches/professors at UTx concerning affairs with students. This is what came up. It's different because the track coach was with one of her athletes while Major just banged some chick that worked in the AD.
The biggest impact of this is that it will be used by other coaches to negatively recruit against Applewhite with mamas. "Well, mama, do you really want your son to be influenced by a guy so morally bankrupt that he would cheat on his wife just days before giving birth to their first child?" Mack has long sold the family atmosphere and really ingratiated himself to parents. This is just going to make that harder, especially as they are trying to transition to Major being the face of their recruiting, and it's also pretty embarrassing. But I don't think anything else will come of it.

Pretty shitty... his daughter was born in January of '09, so he was fricking the coed when his wife was either 9 months preggers or just had the baby.
