does anybody know if game prices are going to go up($50 to $60) like they did when 360 and ps3 first came out?

Go up? No.
Go down? Possibly.
If the price changes it would more than likely go down than up, with the way they implement DLC now, and most games are available digitally, I wouldn't be surprised to see new titles go for $49.99 digitally.

I can't imagine game prices going down much. People are still (foolishly) buying the current generation of games at the $60 price point, and they will be selling the new consoles at a loss again.

Will probably stay the same, I just said if the price does change it won't be up, it will be down, and digitally.
This next generation is supposed to be going more digital, at one time they even said "all digital", so I could see digital copies dropping in price some.
But yeah, unlikely.

Is there now? Nope. When Devil May Cry came out last week it was in the PS store the same day as physical copies and was the same price. Also, older games cost more to buy in the PS Store and Xbox Marketplace than they do in stores.
Publishers will cut out physical stores as much as possible but people are naive to think they will drop the price to just make the same margin on games as they do now. They are going to keep prices the same and pocket that extra money.
I am OK with that if it means we don't lose another THQ.
