Anyone know if the trout are biting in Lake Pontchartrain @ mouth by Pass Manchac or at the bridges this time of year? TIA

I might fish the highbridge canal on the tchefuncte in my and try to get on some bass

Good luck.
With the stiff winds these last few days, you will probably find chocolate milk for water. . . that is, if you find water at all!
Might need to try a little further south in Leeville or Fourchon to find the water.

There is a deep hole not to many people know about that is on the south side, west of the hump, about 500 yards off the span that should be holding trout. It was a spot they took shells out of many years ago. I used to drag it shrimping. A good sounder, you will find it.

Going next weekend. I've heard that when that wind pulls north the marsh is REALLY low right now. But good otherwise

after a few days of northers Basson's is a giant mud flat. I would not go there, or would definitely wait until high tide.

The wahoo bite is on right now. Temp break at 70F has been good, so I was told. Maybe the north wind might of blew the blue water out.

noted. We only have Saturday to fish, but the 33 Freeman Cat can cover some ground.

I'm going to take a couple weeks off. I've not had very good luck lately and can't wait for the late winter cycle to end. Spring ought to be good.
