MSNBC altered the original 911 tapes to insert "black" to make it sound like George Zimmerman was describing to 911 that he was following a 'black male'.
Among other despicable things. They issued apologies after FoxNews and ABC called 'em out on it. Of course, the black community had already prosecuted, tried and hung him for it.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in NBC, but this is the same "news" outlet that distorted Trayvon Martin and is has the same parent company MSNBC. They and the usual suspect liberal rags (alternet, politicsusa, etc) seem to be the only ones that claimed that the parent was heckled. So we can't really blame the entire MSM.

Just beard about this on BR 107.3. Evidently the altered video released had Kevin Meeks siding with the liberal media regarding he crazy redneck gun lovers.
He apologized for it his morning saying he was duped by MSNBC

why would anyone independently believe anything that fox or msnbc say?
Fox is aweful. MSNBC is making a run for the top of the worst. But fox has a long history of stupidity. It will be an epic battle...

While I agree, I have no problem with bias on either side as long as it's open and there is at least one right wing voice. FOX news is journalistic trash.
1. They are a tabloid that uses sensationalism to drive fear/anger/sex/shock into the hearts of their viewers to increase ratings.
2. Rubert Murdoch is not even American and known for his tabloids in other countries.
3. They mesh their news and opinion columns into a homogeneous mixture of propaganda.
Once they started other networks like MSNbc started up with the same trash. Why? Because it gets ratings and influences the ignorant people who don't have the critical thinking skills to separate their emotions from what they actually are hearing.
Regardless of your political affiliation tabloids posing as legitimate news IMO are a detriment to our political process.
