I understand the argument but when applied to reality it just doesnt work. We pay taxes to maintain a certain way of life. If you immigrate to a country and immediately become a citizen of that country, you acquire all the benefts of that citizenship immediately.
People should be able to immigrate here if they want to but they should not be able to receive the benefits of citizenship. No voting, no entitlements.

as I said earlier and I say again a country should have a right to defend themselves from the threats of immigration. But at the same time immigration should be encouraged. Also immigrants who come here illegal should be treated as humans not animals (still deported in most cases) but help them out don't treat them like trash.

Every single bit of this revolves around one thing really, and one thing only and we all know it.
Voting Power, and that's it, plain and simple.
The left wants to manipulate them to death, play their friend, and win them over for control.
The right doesn't want the left to do that, and yet doesn't want to lose them to the dark side, so while they really know what's right and wrong, they are gripped with fear over what they clearly see the left is doing with them, and many are fearful of taking the right stand on it or full force in their good conscience.
And here we are, stuck in the middle, paying for the power grab with our tax dollars, people who aren't even citizens of this country, here illegally (as in without our permission) and soaking the taxpayer for it.

Some people on here, in a desperate attempt to appear intelligent and deep, do mental gymnastics with issues that should be very simple and straight forward.
