Between my two jobs, $2,397 annually. That's more than I anticiparted considering I only make about $58,000 between them. This sucks!!! Of course taxes go up when you are 25.

Who'd you vote for the last two elections? That'll decide the question of whether you did it to yourself.

For one. SS holiday ended so you went back up to 6.2% from 4.2%, so that is 2% right there. As far as other taxes, looks like you are in MS so not sure if state taxes there changed. But look at your withholding for both state and federal. If you are getting a refund from either and you situation/income is similar this year to last then change your withholding's to closer match you overall tax liability from this past year. Don't want to give uncle sam that interest free loan again this year....

Mine was about $130 less between the tax increase and my health insurance premiums going up. I'm due for my mid year step increase starting next month so it will about balance out but yea it's annoying how they always seem to figure out a way to make sure you never get ahead.

Selfish. You didn't earn that money by yourself.

I must have missed something. Who was it that cut the SS tax in 2010 that increased the take home pay of the majority of working Americans for two years?

I think it's the same guy that increased the deficit more than all others before him combined, raised unemployment, just weakened our economy (it shrunk for 1st time in 6 years),raised federal spending, passed unaffordable GOVMNT run policies, and yes, now has let that 2% get taken away from us and still trying to say he stands by his pledge "not to raise taxes on anyone but the rich" Well, SURPRISE, every single working man/woman in America just got their taxes raised.....

I must have missed something. Who was it that continued such excessive spending since 2009 that increased the debt burden of every American?

Not sure if you've checked lately, but there is a pretty big crop of recent graduates who can't find work in my area. Oh, and your wages will get docked by an additional 2% for social security....while current beneficiaries will see an adjustment of 1.7%. Tell grandpa that he's welcome for the gift, since people our age will never see a dime.
