Right, but it was insinuated that SVP has insider knowledge on Miles.

WTF? Lol! He's very wealthy no matter how you try to spin it. Dumbass.

Wealthier than you, sure, but in the world of wealthy people, he doesn't register on the radar. I guess people like you that count wealth based on the amount of EIC you get have no clue as to what real wealth is.

And what relevance is this to anything being discussed in this thread? And since you're such a financial savant, maybe you'll acknowledge that while deducting fees for professional services and taxes you blatantly left out any additional source of income, specifically capital appreciation on what is likely to be a significant portfolio. But keep comparing him to gates an Oprah...tard.

Only if he is blowing his money. The amount of money he makes per year is elite in any country and any profession. The average income of the top 1% is around 700,000 a year. Unless he is blowing money, he should be quite wealthy.

Who did that? Seriously get an adult to read to you what I wrote. I was simply pointing out that Miles' salary isn't rock star rich. I know that all the minimum wage slaves think it is all the money in the world, it isn't. Before he gets his hands on a dime of that 4 million, half of it is gone. Some of you people think that would let him live a Downton Abbey lifestyle.

Please, do tell. I can't wait to hear how you define real wealth.

He's crossed the line between trolling and tarding. Expect an attempt at a witty comeback and continued ignoring of simple facts. Miles is raking in only $2MM net of taxes, according to Gray Tiger that doesn't cut it in Baton Rouge.

Most rock stars don't make Miles kind of money. I don't know what you think people make in the real world. WTF kind of idiot would think 4 million a year isn't extremely rich?

You claim people have poor reading comprehension bc they take an extreme view saying you're talking about bill gates and Oprah money and in the same breath say "y'all think it's all the money in the world". fricking douche. Even if he is making 2 million a year, that is rich by anyone's standards. Nobody is saying he's Aerosmith rich but anyone who makes the money he makes is rich. Simple as that. You don't have to make "rock star money" to be considered rich. People who make 200k a year are considered wealthy. People who make 120-150 a year are well off. bringing home 2-3 million a year is fricking rich no matter how you spin it.

I keep getting surprised on TR! Just when I think I've read the dumbest, most ill-informed post, along comes another! So according to Mr. Forbes here, being that Miles "only" makes about $2mm after taxes and agents and stuff, he'll at least be above standing in line. Doesn't sound like much better than that, but certainly better than us paupers on the boards! He'll have made no less than $50mm if he stays with LSU till his current contract expires. You know you done fricked up right?

Back to the original thread & SVP. He was talking bout a party he went to Monday nite, James Carvelle's house in uptown, the Mannings, Landrieus, all the big shots. He said he ended up sitting on the floor, eating charbroiled oysters, cold beer, and listening to Dr.John & Erma Thomas jam. He kept saying "Only in La. Only in La. "

The degree of provincialism on this board is astounding. Here's a hint or two: 1. There is a huge world outside of Louisiana. 2. In some of those places in this world (unknown to all too many of you) 2 million a year is chump change. If any of your keepers had read my entire respnse to you, you would heave seen that I admitted that Miles wasn't likely to be poor. I know that for a lot of you who are finally geting to move into a double wide, Miles' salary seems like a mountain, but I assure in many places it isn't impressive at all. I don't know what is more disturbing; the knee jerk criticism of anything to do with Les Miles or the unabashed jealousy of someone making more money than you do.
