Big 12 working on getting a Florida based bowl (Posted on 1/29/13 at 10:20 pm)

Commissioner Bob Bowlsby says it's a "fair projection'' the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, which now has the next pick after the Cotton Bowl, or the Meineke Bowl in Houston could move up in the picking order.
Bowlsby says it's also a priority for the league to get a spot in a Florida bowl game.
the SEC trades one of the Florida bowls (Gator or Outback) to the Big 12 for a spot against them in the Houston Bowl.
Big 10 will go along with it b/c they will now play a Big 12 team in a NYD bowl and will also get the Pinstripe Bowl to help build the NY market they are attempting to gain with Rutgers.

kind of interesting that they say the Alamo could move up in the pecking order. Does that mean the Cotton will be an access bowl in the playoff rotation?
does it also mean the SEC/Big 12 matchup will end?

no one was buying 150 dollar tickets from the school
both schools brought around 30k which isn't bad for a wednesday game after new years down in Miami. My friends who went all got tickets for about 15 bucks right before kick off. The BCS mid week bowls have been a disaster.
