FWIW - Spoke with my buddy who is wired into the UCLA football program "big booster and former stud player from there" and he stated that PW called the coaches yesterday and alleviated any concerns regarding the trip from the LSU coaches. Apparently PW reaffirmed his commitment and told the UCLA coaches he will be a Bruin. I sure hope that info is wrong and PW will take the week and sign with us next week, but it sounds like the thought of that happening is very remote.

The crappy thing about this situation is there are probable scenarios that could easily happen and Willis could become a forgotten name at UCLA instead of the next Eric Reid/LaRon Landry. 1) UCLA is 4th at best in the PAC12 right now behind Oregon, Stanford, Oregon State and will most likely be behind USC as well. 2) Mora isn't staying at UCLA for the next 4 years. IF he has one more good year there, he is heading to the NFL or heading to the SE to coach in the ACC or SEC. 3) UCLA is always the other team in L.A. It's USC's town during football season and UCLA's during basketball. Put those three things together and a potential star player becomes just another good player on a mid-teir team. Will he make the NFL, maybe, but I trust LSU's development on defensive players over UCLA's with regard to getting guys into the NFL. I guess in the long-run I hope Willis is making this decision for himself and he understands the pros and cons of the decision. Good luck to him either way.
