I used to think "jacuzzi" was a word like "thingamajig" or "watchamacallit" or "doohickie" except jacuzzi was for stuff that was outside.

20 years ago I had never heard of an "SUV." They weren't as popular then. So every SUV-like vehicle was called a Jeep.

But people still say Tivo, even if they have a DirecTV DVR. It doesn't matter which one is said more.



Ping-pong is a really good one. No one actually calls it table tennis.
