re: Dateline tonight - Mickey Shunick

It's seems to me that Dateline stuck to the facts that couldn't be disputed. Videos, interviews, stab wounds, survalence,

I still think he's lying about the last details. He followed her with one thing on his mind. I would bet there was sexual misconduct involved as well that he didn't mention to save face.

Unless that's been confessed and I'm unaware.

That's what I was told, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if LPD released that while getting paid on the side. Funny that local reporters never got a hold of that tape. As much as they were calling us and FB messaging me, you would have figured that would be the first thing they went after.

I know one thing is for sure, the Sheriffs department wanted NOTHING to do with Dateline and were against half of what was released.

I would buy and read the book you released if you decided to Adam. Thousands of people would.

I'll take something from that. If I'm EVER asked to go in and speak to the police I'll tell them to come meet me, under my terms, and no recording equ't. Dirty frickers.

She seems so naive (and I mean that in a good way) that I'm sure she had absolutely no idea they could be recording.

Not only that. I've got a friend pretty high up in the Laf. PD who told me when they suspected him, they got his phone records and he was driving around Laffy calling escort services trying to score some puss. His phone records/location pretty much put him in the area of the crime at the time.

Weird to know all this shite went down about a half mile from where I live. This happened pretty much right behind Blackham Coliseum.

He apparently called escort services that night. He was looking for something deviant. Those plans fell through for whatever reason and he targeted a blonde on a bike.

For good reason. The more "inside" info we see the more it helps the next freak evade arrest.

For one thing, to think BL may have gotten away had it gone to trial- despite the mountain of evidence.

LPD financials are public record as well. If money did change hands (on the books), it should be easy to find.

I'm saying there is no proof that he thought she was dead and she popped up. Only his word.

Why would he fabricate that part of the story?

Wouldn't get his location from phone records.

his location between cell towers is what ended up locating him. In the city, those things are accurate to within a city block.

Bhtigerfan:

Did your LPD friend tell you if they tracked his and/or Mickey's phone to Whiskey Bay? I'm curious if he turned off both phones when he abducted her. It seems like that would definitely indicate premeditation.

And it's STILL Louisiana. Someone on the inside could still be bought.

He may have been trying to rape her when he "popped up" and just worded it differently to sound better.

I think it's clear he wasn't taking her for yogurt.

I absolutely believe sexual assault was his priority. She fought back and died for it. As a result, she helped catch her killer.
