I have nothing to gain by coming on here saying stuff that's not true. I know while I was there yesterday, talk between coaches were how to break the news to him.

Maybe just got midterm grades and there was no improvement. Or just got an act score. Discussed after his trip

I get what you are saying but LSU has had many football players who are questionable students. If this kid is RN or a stud recruit this is not happening to him. That's the nature of college recruiting. It's not always about fairness.

But the rules are different now than they used to be. Signing a guy that doesn't qualify means you pretty forfeit that spot for the next few years.
Staying under the limit means you can carry that spot forward and count back the next year.
That's why there is no such thing as a sign and place anymore.

We are losing Cutrer for sure. Can someone confirm this? Lawson has been offered a grey shirt so it's not grades lol. If he can still enroll, it's not grades.
OP update and change title-- maybe: Lawson with grey shirt offer and Cutrer grade casualty. Something like that. Only if its confirmed in Cutrer's end.

They will offer grey shirts for grades too to cover our ass...this way if he cant get into lsu then we dont waste a scholly. Lets say we let him sign and he doesnt make grades like avery, for example...then it still counts towards us whether he makes it or ot

It's not like they asked him to walk on. After a semester he gets a full scholarship. He would have probably redshirted anyway. Plus he lives near BR so the costs will minimal. The coaches have gotten screwed plenty of time when kids don't make grades or test scores.

If LSU wasn't playing by the academic rules, they would've found ways to get D'haquille Williams and Deandre Brown into the program. Their unwillingness to bend on academics is the reason why the staff sat on Eddie Lacy and Darrington Sentimore which allowed them to slip to Bama.

More upset that the LSU coaches won't take a chance on a grade risk than him not making the grades? How many kids would kill for his kind of talent along with an LSU offer with the stipulation that he must get qualifying grades?

yea i dont understand this either...if the rumor about cutrer is true then thats another spot we can fill this year so i am not sure why they would ask this unless they fill they are about to get a bunch of new commitments
