I don't remember the HR but I remember giving Chad Ogea a high five as the team circled the field.

The GT beatdown was pretty epic. I believe 8 doubles in one inning. I also think Tim Lanier was 2 out of the 3 outs in that same inning. I saw Bo Jackson hit a HR that was pretty epic along with about 50 other people at the box. Started going in the early 80's and got season tickets in 1990. I remember back when there were obstructed views on the 1st and 3rd base side due to the light towers, that we wound up donating to Southern. You could show up to a game 1 minute before game time and buy a general admission ticket and get a great seat nearly anywhere. Have yet to see a game in the new Box. Not really a favorite memory but our season tickets were in left field right up front. Friday night game against Arizona I believe and a homerun hit to us and a little kid in front of us stood up on the bleacher and you coudln't see around him. Last second ball goes right by his ear and hits my dad. He wound up getting stitches but it really wasn't that bad. I picked up the ball and gave it to my dad. Dad came back out early the next day and talks to the marshall and gets invited to the dugout and gets the guy who hit the HR to sign it. That was in the mid/late 90's and it's still sitting on the bookshelf at my dads house. Guy was apologetic but it didn't bother my dad who is a huge LSU baseball fan. We've been to Omaha together 3 times.

funniest maybe was back in 77-78, Astros and Rangers played an exhibition game right as all teams were heading back home for openers, Rangers locker room was on 1B side, starters came out early, there was a big arse window in the locker room visible from the stands, Claudell Washington was frickin' around, getting ready for a shower I guess, but he was slinging around his schlong like a bullwhip, dude was endowed, he looks out the window and sees he's drawn quite a following, and kept whipping that thang, and putting on a show for a few minutes that was more entertaining than the game :notafigbutitwasfunny

A Sunday game against Ole Miss in 1988. LSU was down 13-3 heading into the 7th and ended up beating Ole Miss 15-13 to sweep the series

Drinking beer and cooking out behind the left center field wall and the Marshalls letting in and out the gates to refill our beer between innings. Marshall Dave collected all the beer cans to sell!

back in the day referenced above, I was actually on the team, and you could not pay anyone to come to the games, I guess we hastened up the search for Skip

Actually down 13-3 going to the bottom of the 8th...we scored 9 runs in the 8th, 1 in the 9th, and Gary Hymel won it with a 2 run homer to right field in the 10th. I brought a cam-corder to the game and captured it all...

1. The Turn Back The Clock game from 1994(?) against Tulane. 1b. Being crammed into the bleachers and almost burning to death in some extra inning postseason monstrosity against Jacque Jones and USC. My t-shirt had a sunburn.

I have a lot of fond memories of my Grandfather taking me there during the 2000 season. I didn't really go much when Smoke was coaching but now I go to about 10 games a year. ETA: I kind of messed up the last part of that post. I meant to say something more along the lines of how I go a lot now, but I wish I had gotten to go to the old box more.

Without a doubt meeting Coach Bertman at an LSU summer camp. I learned more in a week than my entire high school career. Plus, the Tigers had just won a CWS and was just a neat experience. Unfortunately, I was not impressive enough to get an invite to play.

Definitely the UC Irvine comeback. Also I pitched for Central and we had a tournament there my Junior year. We had a very early game and I can remember warming up while there was a little bit of fog on the field. Everbody felt like gods playing on that field. Best mound I have ever thrown off of. I pitched three innings as a reliever and closed the game out with 0 hits. Sad to see a parking lot where I had one of my best high school memories.

For me personally it would have to be the irvine sr in 2008. I had just lost my mom to cancer a few weeks before and I decided to listen to the game. It was in the late innings. I just listened and as lsu came back I was thinking my mom must have had something to do with that. I used to listen to the lsu games when I was a kid in my room and my mom would pop in to see how lsu was doing from time to time. She used to kick me out of the living room a time or two during fb season in the hallman years.
