As we turn the vehicles around the owner came out with a dog and a shotgun.
this happened to me outside of Woodville while looking for a friend's camp late at night

No, silly. Was there a 'friend' that lives like two doors down from the old coots driveway that they supposedly mistook.
I see. Well, could be or could be that they entered the wrong address into the gps or that the gps took them way off course.

I mean, I agree the old man deserves his day in court and should be judged by an impartial jury, but this one appears to be pretty straight forward. Maybe he should have been crazy enough not to leave witnesses.

Same here.

But you, and I, actually had a friend close by and we got in the wrong driveway.

IF, and I say IF, there is no friend living close by, the kids were high and they pulled 3/4 of the way into a 250' isolated driveway, then they probably were looking for a place to rob.

Well Gerald is this and admission that you've sucked off enough gun owners to speak intelligently of their dick size.
Or maybe you are just pulling this out of your arse like so many others that have pulled out of your ass.
Or you are just spewing out of your mouth like so many have spewed in it.
So which is it you little liberal pet molester?

no i will just add another instance the stereotype played out correctly.

The dumb cop stereotype?

My racist comment was sarcasm. Even black people are allowed to use that aren't they?

I'm just pumping the brakes a little bit on the original title..

It could be on the money, or it could be way off base.

Unless the driver exited the vehicle with a gun in his hand or was driving toward the homeowner in an aggressive manner, the shooter is going to have a hard time justifying his actions. You can't fricking kill someone for pulling into your driveway. If he truly felt threatened by a strange car in his driveway, the homeowner should have called 911 and waited inside with his gun (where he could have killed them legally, had they actually tried to break in to his home).

Why give them a warning shot if you are just going to waste them as they drive off?

From what we know right now, this is very possible.

The homeowner fired a warning shot, then shot the kid in the head. Did the kid hit the gas, lurching the car towards the homeowner?

We have no idea. Let it play out.

huh? Crawfishing on what? My post was obvious sarcasm. I'm not sure how it could be taken any other way.

When someone on this site say "black people" or "you people" the inevitable comment is to make a racist joke. Sorry for my lack of originality and your cop like sensitivities.

so are all the black people murderers gun nuts?

You're trying to compare gun retards to gun nuts, there's a difference.

It really is impossible for cops to admit when they are wrong isn't it?

We don't have any idea and it will play out. However, this guy escalated, if not created, the situation by going outside with a gun.

If he had stayed inside, called 911 and continued to observe; he wouldn't be in jail today. I don't know what the law is in GA, but in LA you can't shoot someone in defense of your property, it has to be in defense of life.

I was thinking about this the other night. If I defended myself from someone, I'd imagine chances are they'll come back later (Like in Gran Torino, maybe ) and try again. So, if I shot someone after they started running away, wouldn't that be defending myself?

I don't understand how that works.

Aren't you in law school? Maybe that was Pumpkins.

She is. Maybe LSU doesn't teach crim law until 2nd semester?

No offense intended if you've already taken it, Lilly. I think my crim law professor at Southern was just crazy and spent an inordinate amount of time on Justifiable Homicide.
