We have the same number of 5 stars as Florida- 2.
We have more 4 stars and a higher average.
I am not really a star gazer, but whatcha got?

We may have more 4 stars but the 4's they have are ranked higher. Thats about all I got on that subject.

Let's say the 100th through 300th players are four stars. If Florida gets the 100th and we get the 400th, they should be ranked higher if all else is equal. But who gives a piss? The two best ranking sources for my book are Nick Saban and Les Miles. Just look at who they offered.

I got you. I guess I am confused because we have a HIGHER overall average. We are at 3.77 and UF is 3.68.

Use gold for example. You have 12k and you have 24k gold. They are both gold but one holds more value than the other.
As far as recruiting goes, you won't actually know who has the better class until they kids have been in school for about 3-4 years. If you look at LSU's classes, there have been some schools that have had as good or better classes during the past 4-5 years, but LSU has put more players in the NFL.

There is more. It also depends on what position that your 5 or 4 star recruit is projected to play. Some potions get more points than others. I forget what positions garner the most points but I think they are QB, RB, OT, and DT.

1. Michigan
2. Notre Dame
3. A&M
4. OSU
5. LSU
7. Florida
9. Alabama
They are the only recruiting site with a major midwest bias.

Its all BS. Look at Bama ranked two ahead of us. We have more recruits, same number of 5 stars, more 4 stars and a higher per player average at 3.77. And we are two below them? It's all BS.

Yeha but in this case. It is still a person or a group of person supposedly experts that eval and give a certain value to a kid.
It isnt as black and white as gold.
Becuase they said one kid was a 3.78 and the other is a 3.70. Then they get a better ranking. I can go through tweak all those scores adn move anyteam and still have 4 and 5 stars kids.
Personally I dont like the team ranking. But I love the star system. a four star is a 4 star to me. that tells me the quality of kid i have coming to LSU.
