On godaddy.com a few months ago. Any suggestions on what I should do with the site? I was kind of hoping that the NBA would want to pay me a lot of money for the rights to the site.

There are laws against what you just did. Not saying you broke the law, but don't think you are automatically entitled to compensation either.

The real question is do YOU own the rights to New Orleans Pelicans? If so, you are entitled to all compensation related to the sale of the site.
If not, as we already know you aren't, you are not entitled to money unless the NBA has terrible lawyers that do not understand simple copyright laws. Oh wait, they have TERRIFIC lawyers that will probably end up sending you a letter in the mail asking you to release it or they will sue you for copyright infringement.

You could have saved time and money by looking at the Hornets official site. There you will see that all official NBA team sites are done through nba.com. The NBA is laughing at you right now.
