you know what I find amusing about this thread? there are undoubtedly dozens of users on this site whose diet consists of primarily fast food and chain restaurants, yet you don't see them chiming into this thread. for instance, every time I drive by an Applebee's (a place 99% of folks in this thread agree is awful) anywhere in the South it is packed. PACKED. the parking lot is always full. you can't sit here and tell me those same people don't post on TD.

I used to frequent Applebee's all the time, and I will still eat there if that is where everyone wants to go. Same with Outback. But I have noticed that the food seems rather blah to me now. And honestly I only went to Outback because they had Fosters on tap. I will repeat that I haven't had a bad meal at TGI Friday's or Joe's. And you are right, they are always packed. That's liek someone saying Superior Grill sucks. I would repsond with, that must be why no one ever goes there. I don't eat at OG or Red Lobster enough to form an opinion. As far as buffets, you get what you get. I don't like buffets anyway. I always eat too much.

it's a shame when there's actually some good mom & pop restaurants in SPBC. that one stretch of Youree is one huge strip mall/chain restaurant/big box store piece of fricking shite.

Ok salmon. Are you so stupid that you really believe that they are cracking a can of wolf chili open with a can opener and melting slices of velvet a cheese in the kitchen? Perhaps it makes more sense that they have a seasoned cheese sauce that they heat up and add fresh browned ground beef? Perhaps you can be honest that you have no idea what is in it and were just making shite up? Then again, you are probably one of those that insist the majority of food at chain restaurants is precooked and just reheated.

You feel strongly about this skillet queso stuff. I don't think it's velveeta and chili either, that stuff is really salty and if memory serves this skillet queso dish isn't that salty. But it's totally some easily prepared thing, like a pre made cheese sauce. THey sell way too much of it to have some dude in the back making cheese sauce to order.

This. Steaks there are great, of course, but their steakhouse Mac n' Cheese is out of this world.
